Phormium
liniata
One of the larger Phormiums, reaching 1.5m
(5ft) or more in height. It has stiffly upright,
sword shaped leaves with yellow varigations running
up and down the leaves randomly, e.g. not confined
to the edge as in Williamsii. A hardy (ro about
-15 C or about 6 F) it can tolerate a wide variation
in soil, and aspects. It works well close to the
sea.
