Cycas
revoluta "Sago Palm"
An ancient plant type that has existed
with the dinosaurs-long before flowering plants
appeard on earth. It is very slow growing to 3m
(9 feet) with 60-85cm (2-3 feet) sized leaves, only
producing a leaf or two a year, reaching greater
sizes with age. Add a tropical Jurassic feel
to your garden with several of these ancient specimens.
Cold hardy to -9C (15F) while very tough it, prefers
an alkaline soil in a semi shady spot.
